Cowdenbeath Gala have warned that if they can’t raise enough funds for this year’s event, they would need to get rid of the wristbands.
This year’s big day will cost £28k, so the team behind it have organised a range of fundraisers in the run up to the event.
The committee need the public’s support to ensure they don’t have to make any changes to the event.
Cowdenbeath Gala Events commented: “If we can’t raise enough funds, we may need to stop the wristbands, and the shows would be pay as you go.
“We don't want to have to make this decision as the wristbands are very extremely popular and good value for money.”
The upcoming fundraisers include an event at Shorty’s Bingo and Social Club on April 4 with performances from Carly Schiavone, Elaine Green, Shannon Green, and Soul Accord.
The doors open at 7pm, with the show running from 8pm until late.
Then, on May 2, there will be a psychic night. Tickets will be available from Shorty’s and online.
A sponsored walk across the Forth Road Bridge will take place on May 23 at 10am to raise funds to purchase new costumes.
Finally, there will be a karaoke competition at the Woodside Hotel on June 6, from 7pm until late.
Tickets are available from the Woodside Hotel and the Gala Committee.
The committee are also looking for sponsors for the Gala Day.
