Fife Council has invited the local community to decide on the location of a new play park in Crossgates.
Options for upgrades can be made at the existing play park at Droverhall Avenue, or at Mossgreen.
The plan for the upgrade involves installing new play equipment at the chosen park.
If Droverhall is chosen, Mossgreen will remain a usable greenspace as it is currently; if Mossgreen is chosen, the play equipment at Droverhall will remain until it is removed due to disrepair and/or old age. The Council would then assess how the community uses the space.
Councillor Darren Watt shared the announcement on Facebook, saying: "Following fantastic community spirit and support, I am delighted to say, Crossgates will benefit from a play park upgrade at the top end of the village."
The public consultation which opened on Tuesday, February 2, allows locals to have their say on which park receives the investment.
The site chosen for upgrade will be decided upon following the feedback from the community, followed by additional consultations for specific equipment installation plans.
