Cammy Barnes pays visit to Lochgelly South Primary School

Cammy Barnes, originally from Methil, shot to national fame in 2023 as a semi-finalist on the hit TV show, dazzling audiences with his soulful renditions of popular songs.

Last week, he stopped off to see the Primary 7s at the school on High Street, Lochgelly, to hear them practise his song for an evening performance.

Since Britain's Got Talent, the Fifer's success has skyrocketed, charting in the UK Top 20 and #1 entries on the Singer/Songwriter and Country/Alternative iTunes Charts.

Cammy has also supported Brit Award-winning artist Tom Walker and played several sell-out shows, including at the prestigious King Tuts in Glasgow.

But last week, he sang to a smaller, but equally enthusiastic audience who joined in as he played his guitar.

"Blessed that this awesome class would learn my song for their concert tonight, thought we'd surprise them during rehearsal.

"They smashed it, and know the lyrics better than me! My heart is full."

"Primary 7 absolutely loved the live music, the energy, and the chance to learn from such a talented local musician.

"Thank you for inspiring our pupils and filling our school with such a brilliant buzz. We’re so grateful for your time and generosity. Primary 7 did you proud with their rendition of Whiskey Roll at tonight's Scots' Night!"
