Emergency services attended a two-vehicle crash on the A92 this morning (Wednesday, January 21).

The incident took place on the A92 at the Kirkcaldy/Lochgelly junction westbound around 6.40am.

Police attended the scene and motorists were asked to find alternative routes while the recovery of the vehicles was underway. The roads were heavily congested during this time.

An update was posted on Facebook by Police Scotland Fife at 8.22am which revealed that the road was open again.

It stated: “The A92 Kirkcaldy / Lochgelly junction westbound is now open following a crash involving two vehicles which happened around 6.40am on Wednesday, 21 January, 2026.

“Thanks for your patience.”
