A Johnny Cash tribute night is set to hit Cowdenbeath.

The audience can expect an authentic live show, with performances by Bob Ford, who will cover a range of Cash's early hits, as well as some of his later works.

The tribute show, which promises to echo Cash's distinctive sound, will avoid any ostentation or gimmicks according to event organisers.

Instead, it will focus on a simple representation, keeping true to the 'Man in Black'.

The event is set to take place in Wee Jimmies Bar on the Cowdenbeath High Street, on Saturday January 31.

Backed by a live drummer, organisers say the performance guarantees a fresh sound, rejuvenating classic tunes.

In addition to Bob Ford's interpretation of Cash, the homegrown talents of Michael Law will also be showcased.

Law will be performing an acoustic set featuring numbers from a range of well-known artists including Pink Floyd, Paolo Nutini, David Gray, Bryan Adams, Stereophonics, and Oasis.

Doors for the event open at 7pm and prospective audience members can purchase tickets from Wee Jimmies Bar for £10.

Alternatively, tickets are available online via Universe Ticketmaster for £10, although a booking fee does apply.

People wishing to purchase tickets on the door will have to pay £12.
