The “huge loss” of two retiring cleaners marks the end of an era at Benarty Primary School.
Anne Jack and Margaret Morrison racked up six decades of combined service.
Margaret said: "Its been a privilege working at Benarty PS for 36 and a half years, I've made many friends past and present and will miss everyone, but hoping to return next year to volunteer"
Anne added: “I have enjoyed my 29 years at Benarty Primary School. Watching the children grow and progress from P1 to P7 has been such a joy and privilege.
“Although it’s time for me to move on, I leave with wonderful memories and friendships that feel like family. I will deeply miss all the staff.”
Kids at Benarty celebrated the pair’s careers, whilst headteacher Lynn Days extended her thanks.
She said: "Almost 66 years of service! Today, (Friday, December 19) marked the retirement of Margaret Morrison, cleaning supervisor and Anne Jack, cleaner.
“The staff and children paid tribute to the ladies, by creating artwork and cards with wishes.
“Margaret and Anne will be a huge loss to the school.”
