A free lunch scheme is returning to help families during the school holidays.
Fife Council’s Café Inc service will run from Monday, October 13 to Friday, October 24, offering children and young people free healthy meals at venues across the Kingdom while schools are closed.
There is no need to book, and meals are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
A full list of Café Inc venues is available online, where families can also find other cost-of-living support.
Councillor Linda Erskine, Fife Council’s strategic spokesperson for communities and leisure services, said: "It’s a very sad fact that during school holidays many children in Fife go hungry.
"I can’t accept that children should go hungry at any time and that’s why we, Fife Council, continue to run Café Inc.
"I sincerely hope that families with children take the opportunity to visit a venue in your area.
"Not only to pick up a meal but stay and enjoy the company of friends and family in your community."
Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult, who can also receive a meal if stocks allow.
Meals are available at selected schools and community facilities throughout Fife.
