Kelty Gala will be returning this Saturday for a fun filled family day, with over 1500 people expected to attend!

The day will begin with a 45-minute parade through the town, starting at Kelty industrial park at 12pm.

After the parade, there will be 12 performances from the local children’s groups including dance schools, Centre Stage and Dynamic Dance, and GA Karate. The afternoon will then see children’s races, including nursery, primary, mums and dads.

The Average Pipe Band will give a special 30-minute performance, before next year’s gala queen and princess are announced.

A spokesperson for the Gala committee said: “This year we even have Chinese dragons and lions leading the parade.

"And local stock cars at the end.

“The Gala will have something for everyone, with multiple food vans, community group stalls, tombola and many local traders.

“Community and volunteer support has been really important, basically, everything that we get for the gala is because of the volunteers with connections.

“It will be a great day!”
