A school's quiz team has won a trophy after a tense competition.
The St Patrick's Primary School team were visited by Cowdenbeath Rotary Club's president, Hank John, who presented them with the trophy for winning the 2025 Primary School Quiz Trophy.
This was a competition organised by the Rotary Club at the Lochgelly Centre.
The competition was very close, with only one point separating each of the top three teams.
By the halfway stage of the eight six-question rounds, Foulford, St Patrick's, and Crossgates were level, but St Bride's had a strong second half and closed in on the leading pack.
However, St Patrick's held on to take first place with 46 points, beating Foulford by one point and with St Bride's a further single point behind in third place.
The St Patrick's team made up of William Quinn, Erin Deas, Conall McCormick, and Michael Hindley will now go on to compete at the area final on May 7 at Auchmuty High School in Glenrothes.
Mr John said: "The four of you were excellent ambassadors for your school and showed the consistency needed to win such a tight contest."
“The general knowledge displayed was first class and I am sure you can do well at the Fife Area final.”
