COWDENBEATH Rotary Club members are looking forward to their best Burns event in many years.
Last Thursday’s meeting heard that between 60 and 70 people are expected to attend the 2025 supper on Saturday January 25.
Organiser, immediate past president John Gilfillan, said the programme would include some of the Bard’s most famous poems and songs and contributions from club members.
One of the guests, former MP for the Falkirk area, Dennis Canavan, who is proud to come from the town of Cowdenbeath, will make a special presentation.
Added John: “Dennis is a keen Burnsian and very much a Cowdenbeath man, and he is looking forward to entertaining the company.”
