A LOCHGELLY primary school went all out this year for World Book Day.
Pupils at St Patrick's RC Primary transformed into their favourite characters as they enjoyed a number of book-related activities.
They all enjoyed sharing their love for reading and participated in a book swap, a book sale and listened to the teachers read their favourite stories.
They were also authors and illustrators, and the P7 class, who were away at their residential trip to Dalguise, left stories for the younger classes to read.
A spokesperson for the school added: "The classes enjoyed coming to school in their pyjamas or dressed as their favourite book characters. We were so impressed with our very own Oompa Loompa, aka Jaxson!
"World Book Day is a very important event in St Patrick's as it promotes a love for reading and writing and is quite inspirational for our children who work hard on creating their own texts."
