A woman was grabbed by the throat, pushed to the ground and kicked by her partner in Cowdenbeath.
Darren Johnstone, 33, a prisoner at Perth, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court by video-link from jail.
He admitted that on August 29 at addresses in Cowdenbeath, he assaulted his then partner.
He seized her by the throat and pushed her into a doorway, pushed her on the body causing her to fall to the ground and kicked her on the body to her injury.
The court heard that Johnstone had been held in custody since August 30.
Sheriff Susan Duff imposed a community payback order with two years of supervision and participation in the Caledonian Men’s Programme for domestic offenders.
She also imposed a non-harassment order for two years.
