A HOUSE fire in a Lochgelly home triggered an emergency response on Sunday afternoon.

A total of four fire appliances raced to the scene in Benarty Avenue shortly after 4.30pm.

No-one was injured in the incident and the firefighters left after making sure the area was safe.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 4.41pm on Sunday, 28 January, to reports of a dwelling fire in Benarty Avenue, Lochgelly.

“Operations Control mobilised four appliances to the scene.

“There were no reported casualties.

“Crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”
