A 47-year-old man caused a disturbance in Cowdenbeath kicking at a door and smashing glass panels.

Paul Carr, of Martin Crescent, Ballingry, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted that on March 28 at his home, he shouted and challenged police officers to a fight.

On the same day, an an address in Cowdenbeath, he shouted, swore, banged and kicked a door.

He also damaged property by kicking a door causing damage to the glass panels.

Depute fiscal Amy Robertson said Carr turned up outside a woman’s house at 12.15am and rang the buzzer. The woman looked outside and saw Carr and another male.

Carr asked to be let in but the woman refused and he began kicking the door.

She called the police and Carr managed to get into the close where he shouting and swearing, demanding to be let in, and kicked her front door, smashing glass panels.

Sheriff Francis Gill imposed a structured deferred sentence which will run until April 24.
