A NEW round of funding has officially opened for the 4Winds charity.

As the charity heads into it's 11th year, with a fresh new board of trustees at the helm, they are getting ready to dish out up to £3,000 to eligible groups in the Cowdenbeath, Lochgelly, Lumphinnans and Auchtertool areas.

Applications are welcome from community groups, charities, voluntary organisations, sports bodies, community councils and other constituted bodies.

To be considered eligible for the funding, your group must have a constitution or written set of rules, a bank account and annual accounts.

Those who would like to be considered for funding must check their eligibility, read through the guidance on what 4Winds can and cannot fund, and fill out the application form on their website.

From there, all funding applications will be reviewed by the board of trustees, who meet quarterly. Due to the frequency of meetings, applications could take up to three months to receive a decision.

Applications will be accepted up until Monday, February 19.
