POLICE say "no criminality" has been established after reports of illegal hunting in woodland near Lochgelly.

Concerns had been raised of incidents taking place in Harran Hill Woods.

A post on Lochore Meadows Country Park had urged anyone with any information to get in touch with Police Scotland.

It stated: "We have had reports of deer hunting in Harran Hill woods over a number of nights during the last week particularly close to the equestrian centre which has caused stress and alarm to their horses.

"Those that have been carrying out the activity have done so with the use of spotlights and dogs and are guilty of an offence.
