A 34-year-old man drove when banned in Lochgelly then got into physical altercations with two men, attacking one them with a screwdriver.
Edward Taylor, a prisoner at Perth, appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on August 13 at Cooper Ha Avenue, Lochgelly, he drove a car when disqualified and without insurance.
In that street, he also assaulted a man by repeatedly attempting to punch him.
He further admitted he assaulted another man by punching him on the head and striking on the body and head with a screwdriver, to his injury.
Sheriff Charles Lugton jailed Taylor for 12 months and banned him from driving for 20 months.
