THE Fife Sports and Leisure Trust have announced the launch of their October Holiday Programme.

With kids off school for two weeks the aim is to offer a range of budget-friendly activities to keep them engaged and having fun, with venues including Cowdenbeath and Bowhill.

Lee Cunningham, activities manager at the trust, said: "We are thrilled by the positive responses we've received this summer at our facilities.

"Our holiday programmes are designed to provide families with fun and exciting opportunities to get active.

"We invite you to explore our programme and join us for some fun-filled activities this October!"

One of the highlights is the “Quid-a-Kid” initiative, which allows children aged 17 and under to swim from Monday to Friday, play racquet sports and enjoy football from Monday to Sunday, for just £1.

Parents can also join football and racquet sports for a small fee.

The 5-day Active Kidz Camps are also set to return during the October holidays.

This year the programme will be running from Saturday, October 7 to Sunday, October 22.

Activities are subject to venue programming and operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
