A Cowdenbeath supermarket worker was subjected to threats by a serial shoplifter.
Back in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court was 50-year-old Joan Meiklejohn, of Lumphinnans Road, Lochgelly.
She previously admitted that on October 26 last year at Aldi, Stenhouse Street, Cowdenbeath, she repeatedly made threats of violence towards a shop worker.
Sentencing on Meiklejohn had been deferred for good behaviour and the court was told she had indeed stayed out of further trouble.
This came as a shock to Sheriff Craig McSherry, who said: “I’m most surprised she’s not offended for three months. She’s spent most of her life offending.”
However, in the circumstances, he admonished Meiklejohn.
