A LOCHGELLY woman bit her partner on the leg during a drunken assault.
Shanen Smith, 24, of Grainger Street, appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
She admitted that on May 16 at her home she assaulted her partner by pushing her on to a bed and biting her to her injury.
Depute fiscal Louise Graham said Smith had been consuming alcohol and had started arguing with her partner.
She then pushed her down and bit her on the leg.
Police were called and officers saw a bite mark on the woman’s leg.
Defence solicitor Aime Allan said her client’s recollection of events had been affected by the amount of alcohol she had taken.
Sheriff Susan Duff imposed a community payback order with 12 months of supervision.
