LOCHGELLY Gala is just days away and timings for the annual family fun day have been confirmed.

The gala parade will leave West End Park on Paul Street at 11am sharp on Sunday, with those involved gathering from 10.30am.

The parade will make its way down Zetland Place, Main Street, Bank Street, Auchterderran Road, Grainger Street and Union Street, before arriving at the public park.

The gala will officially be opened by Lochgelly’s own Dick Campbell.

A number of events and activities will be taking place throughout the course of the day.

A spokesperson said: “We have a best float competition and fancy dress competition.

“There is lots for everyone to do on the park; local group performances, kids races, petting zoo, chicken farm, inflatable fun and mechanical show rides.

“There are also stilt walkers, a football tournament, tombola stalls, music and much more.

“Please note that gala bags must be collected no later than 1.30pm on the gala day.

“Also, any wristbands which we have left (if any) can be purchased on the day of the gala, please note its will be cash only and are £7 each.

“The committee are really looking forward to welcoming the community on Sunday and we are hoping the weather is on our side.”
