A CAR caused damage after crashing into a empty shop in Cowdenbeath.
The incident took place shortly after 9.25pm on Friday with emergency services called to the town's Church Street.
Police Scotland confirmed that a single car was involved and that there were no reports of any injuries.
A spokesperson said: "We were made aware of a crash involving a single car which struck a building at Church Street in Cowdenbeath shortly after 9.25pm on Friday, August 4.
"There were no reports of any injuries and the local authority was made aware about the building."
Fife Council's building standards team was called to the site on Friday evening and arranged for fencing to secure the area.
The process to trace the owners and ask them to carry out the work necessary to make the building safe is now underway.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service mobilised two appliances to the scene.
A spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 9.36pm on Friday, 4 August to reports of a car going into a building on Church Street, Cowdenbeath.
"Operations Control mobilised two appliances to the scene, where firefighters worked to make the area safe.
"There were no reported casualties."
