A Lochgelly man has been fined after he struggled with four police officers called to an incident at his home.
Casey Japp, 32, of Main Street, appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on April 8 at Melville Street, Lochgelly, he resisted four police officers, behaved aggressively, refused to be handcuffed and lashed out with his arms and legs.
Depute fiscal Azrah Yousaf said officers had been called to Japp’s home at around 5.30am following a report of a disturbance.
He immediately became aggressive to the officers, squaring up to them before being arrested.
Defence solicitor Alan Davie said: “He’d been at a party earlier and went home intoxicated to find he was locked out. There was a minor commotion and he took umbrage at the police attending.
“He was utterly stunned when they appeared but he knows his conduct does not cast him in a good light.”
Sheriff Craig McSherry fined Japp £340.
