A MAN has been arrested after a crash in Lochore.
Police were called to Lochleven Road at around 2.15am on Sunday to reports of a one-car crash.
The vehicle had collided with a lamp post and the driver was extricated by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS).
He was then handed in to the care of paramedics and arrested in connection with a road traffic offence.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 2.15am on Sunday, 23 July, to a report of a one car crash on Lochleven Road, Lochore, Lochgelly.
“Emergency services attended and a man, the driver, was checked by the Scottish Ambulance Service. He has been arrested in connection with a road traffic offence.”
A SFRS spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 2.22am on Sunday, 23 July, to reports of a vehicle colliding with a lamp post on Lochleven Road, Lochore, Fife.
"Operations control mobilised two fire appliances to the scene where firefighters extricated one casualty from their car before handing them in to the care of paramedics.
"Crews left at 3.26am after ensuring the area had been made safe."
