LOCALS have been left devastated after a Cowdenbeath venue announced its closure today (Wednesday).
The announcement comes as a great disappointment to many, with members of the public commenting on the business's Facebook page to express their sadness over the news.
One woman said: "Gutted for everyone who has lost their jobs, living in this climate is taking its toll on our community.
"Don’t be selfish and be more concerned about your table booking. Pretty sure you won’t starve, but maybe think of those who now don’t have a wage to cover their own living cost.
"Diamonds Bar & Grill - Cowdenbeath has been a great asset to Cowdenbeath socially for people and families so it’s a sad reality it’s closing.
Another added: "Loved going in for a bar lunch, the best around by far and the staff were amazing, good luck to the staff."
Others commented that the news was "heart-breaking", while many also warned that other businesses could follow due to the current economic climate.
