TWO men who threw bottles, crockery and furniture out of windows towards police during a siege in Cowdenbeath have been jailed.
The incident started at around 6am with a noise complaint before the pair barricaded themselves in the Copeland Crecent flat for four hours.
Stuart Graham, 31, of High Street, Cowdenbeath, and Grant Pithie, 41, of Links Street, Kirkcaldy, admitted their guilt at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
Graham admitted that on August 13, 2021, at Copeland Crecent, Cowdenbeath, he shouted, swore, challenged police to fight, exposed his buttocks and genitals and also barricaded the door with a fridge and items of furniture.
They both admitted throwing glass bottles, jars, ornaments, a saucepan, crockery and furniture out of windows, exposing police and members of the public below to the risk of injury.
Pithie also admitted that, at Dunfermline police station, he made a racist remark to a police officer.
Sheriff Charles Macnair jailed Graham for nine months and Pithie for 10 months.
