A KELTY man has joined his triplet brother on the sex offenders' register after being convicted for the downloading and possession of child porn images.

Robert Drummond, 37, of Keltyhill Avenue, was found guilty of two charges after a trial at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

Between February 18, 2014, and December 4, 2020, he was in possession of indecent photographs of children.

Between the same dates, he downloaded indecent images of children.

Some of the images were in category ‘A’, the grouping for the most graphic, depraved content.

Sheriff Charles Macnair deferred sentencing until February 2 and bail was granted. He commented: “That’s not an indication of what will happen when it comes to sentencing.”

During the trial, Drummond blamed his brother, Ryan, for the images being on his devices.

When Ryan Drummond had been caught previously with indecent images on his devices, he had put the blame on Robert initially.

However, Ryan Drummond, of Drum Road, Kelty, later admitted his guilt in January.

He admitted that between June 16 and October 30, 2020, at his home, he downloaded indecent images of children.
