STAFF and friends of a Crossgates care home put their best feet forward recently to help provide festive cheer for residents.
Big-hearted workers from Craigie House took part in a sponsored walk across the Forth Road Bridge – and back – to raise funds for the home.
One family member, 10 year-old Jay Canning, raised a massive £360 which helped boost the total collected to £1,250.
Activities co-ordinator Angela Drummond said the event was a great day for all involved.
"We were really lucky as the day before it had been quite stormy and if the winds go over 50mph, you can't walk on the bridge," she said.
"We were panicking that we would have to cancel it but it was quite calm on the day and it all went well.
"We had staff doing it and some family members. The money raised will buy Christmas presents for the residents."
