A MALE driver who "didn't look like any of the insured females" was caught driving without a full license or insurance in Kelty.
Police say he had also taken the car without the owner's consent and that it has now been returned.
The man has been reported to the procurator fiscal.
A post online read: "Spotted this car in Kelty today. The driver didn't look like any of the insured females.
"Vehicle stopped; male driver found to have only a provisional licence, no insurance & taken the car without the owners consent.
"Driver reported and car back to owner."
It comes as officers in the Kingdom announce a crackdown on uninsured vehicles next week, with plans to use intelligence to target specific drivers and set up random road checks.
They warned: "If you plan to drive in Fife, this is your chance to get insured."
