A YOUNG woman "miraculously" escaped from a crash in Cowdenbeath without injury as her vehicle ended up on its roof.
Police were called out on Saturday afternoon to a two-car smash on Broad Street at around 3.25pm.
The 21-year-old struck a parked car and she has been issued with a Fixed Penalty Notice for alleged road traffic offences.
A road closure was put in place for nearly an hour so officers could remove both vehicles.
Road Policing Scotland commented on the incident and stated: "For unknown reasons the red car struck a stationary car.
"Miraculously no serious injuries to the female driver who wasn't impaired in any way."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 3.25 pm on Saturday, November 12, police were called to a two car, non-injury road crash on Broad Street, Cowdenbeath.
"The road was closed to allow officers to carry out enquiries and remove the vehicles. It was re-opened around 4.20 pm.
"A 21-year-old woman was issued with a Fixed Penalty Notice for alleged road traffic offences."
