A VAN was stopped and seized in Cowdenbeath last night (Monday) after it was found to be uninsured.
Fife Road Police pulled over the white Ford Transit and discovered that not only was the driver not insured to drive it, he also had no driving license and was using his mobile phone while behind the wheel.
Sharing the information on their Twitter, they wrote: "Fife Road Policing are off to a busy back shift: one van seized in Cowdenbeath for the driver having no licence or insurance and using his phone."
In the same tweet, they also revealed that later that evening they stopped a new driver for speeding on the A92.
The young man only passed his test in April but was found to be driving at 95mph on the road.
Both drivers have had their offences reported.
