A 58-YEAR-OLD man has been convicted of having a cannabis farm in the attic of a Kelty house.

Michael Kenny, of West High Street, Buckhaven, was on trial before a jury at Dunfermline Sheriff Court and found guilty of the three charges he faced.

Between January 25 and February 22, 2019, at Beechbank Crescent, Kelty, he produced cannabis.

Between the same dates, he was concerned in the supply of cannabis.

He also altered the register of an electricity meter intentionally.

The trial heard that during a raid by police, 210 cannabis plants and 94 seedlings were found in the house.

Kenny denied knowledge of the plants, claiming it was his brother who was living in the house at the time.

Sheriff Susan Duff called for reports and Kenny will be sentenced on November 24.
