DISCOUNTS for kids looking to get active during the October holidays are being offered in Central Fife.

Fife Sports and Leisure Trust has announced the return of its Quid-a-Kid promotion which allows juniors, aged 17 and under access to facilities for just £1.

Emma Walker, chief executive, said: "We are very pleased to be able to maintain Quid-a-Kid – an initiative which is at the heart of the organisation’s drive to engage more young people with physical activity at an early age to encourage a lifelong interest in staying active.

"We would encourage young people and families to visit the trust’s facilities during the October holidays to experience the choice and quality of programmes and facilities on offer."

The offer applies to swimming, football, available at Cowdenbeath Leisure Centre, Bowhill Swimming Pool, or Lumphinnans Sports Hub, and racquet sports, which can also be accessed in Dunfermline.

In addition, the Trust will also be hosting five multi-day activity camps which include swimming, pool inflatable fun, hockey, football, netball, basketball, racquet sports and arts and crafts.
