A FAMILY business has raised £1,000 for the Disasters Emergency Committee’ Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.

Cloud Vapours, which has a shop on Cowdenbeath's High Street, were "profoundly touched by the crisis in Ukraine," and wanted to contribute to the relief effort.

The smoking cessation business who specialises in the manufacture and sale of e-liquid and vape supplies, donated 100 per cent of the sales from its specially blended SLAVA UKRAINI E-Liquid to the DEC Ukraine Appeal.

In recognition of the terrible atrocities that the Ukrainian people are suffering just now, Cloud Vapours decided to mix a special 'Flavour of The Month' whereby all the proceeds of its sales would be donated to the appeal.

Justin Hughes, managing director, said: “Like everyone, we have been profoundly touched by the crisis in the Ukraine. The human consequence of this unjust conflict is horrendous.

"We felt compelled to help and do our bit in helping raise vital funds for the DEC’s mission in Ukraine.

"I would like to thank all our valued customers for purchasing this specially blended e-liquid, without which we could not have raised this sum.

"We hope that this can go a little way in helping to alleviate the plight for some of those affected in Ukraine and pray that this conflict ends soon."
