A 43-YEAR-OLD man banged on the door and caused a disturbance at his home after being locked out because he was drunk.

Kevin Payne, of Paul Street, Lochgelly, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted previously that on September 4 last year, at Navitie Park, Ballingry, he struck a door repeatedly and damaged garden furniture and plant pots by throwing them around.

Depute fiscal Amy Robertson said Payne had returned to his then home intoxicated when his partner was there along with three children.

She told him he was not welcome in that state and would not let him in, locking the door.

Payne then started banging on the door and throwing garden furniture about as well as plant pots.

Police were contacted and officers found Payne in the back garden.

Defence solicitor Aime Allan said the relationship was now at an end.

She added: β€œHe had been drinking at a local pub and he acted in a petulant fashion when he was not allowed in the house. It was a one-off, isolated incident.”

Sheriff Alison Michie said that as Payne had stayed out of trouble since his last appearance at court he would be admonished.
