A MAN was rushed to hospital last night (Sunday) after he was struck by a vehicle in Cowdenbeath.
Both ambulance and police services raced to the scene on High Street after being alerted to the incident at around 8.50pm.
A 34-year-old man was taken to hospital in Edinburgh to be treated for their injuries.
The driver of the vehicle involved was uninjured.
A Police Scotland spokesperson told the Times: "Around 8.50pm on Sunday 4 September 2022, police received a report of a man being struck by a car in High Street, Cowdenbeath.
Emergency services attended and a 34-year-old man was taken to hospital in Edinburgh.
"The driver of the car was uninjured and enquiries into the incident are ongoing."
Reports online suggesting that a young boy had been struck by a vehicle were false.
