THE firm building 24 new homes in Ballingry have tweaked their proposals for the site.

Ivanhoe Forth Ltd, based in Dunbar, informed Fife Council that they have complied with a number of planning conditions related to the development west of Ballingry Road and Marshall Place.

These include providing details of the materials to be used, tree protection measures, felling and pruning works, fencing proposals, a bat survey, wheel washing and sustainability.

They have also been given permission to tweak details relating to parking and reducing the amount of block paving on the site.

Whitewood Meadows will consist of eight two-bedroom homes and 16 three-bedroom homes.

The website states: "This unique development of two and three-bedroom homes blends the charm and character of nearby Lochore Meadows with the comforts and luxury of contemporary living to create a harmony with the traditional styles of this popular Fife village."

Ivanhoe got the go-ahead in July last year after agreeing to pay £45,794 to the council to help fund affordable housing, transport, amenity and play improvements in the area..

They submitted their application in October 2019 but it took the best part of two years for the legal agreement to be reached.

The site, just under a hectare in size, is close to Lochore Meadows Country Park.
