A VISIT to see his son ended in a heated row with his former partner and a court appearance for a Cardenden man.
Stephen Brown, 40, of Cardenden Road, admitted that on July 3 last year, at an address in Dunfermline, he shouted, swore and behaved in an aggressive manner towards his ex-partner.
Depute fiscal Mat Piskorz told Dunfermline Sheriff Court that the couple had been in a four-year relationship which ended in 2019 and they had a son together.
Brown had gone to his former partner’s home to see his son and was playing in the garden with him.
However, a row broke out between Brown and his ‘ex’ which led to him shouting at her and acting aggressively.
When he left, the police were contacted.
Defence solicitor Alexander Flett said: “There has been an acrimonious dispute over contact with the child. Mr Brown accepts he became frustrated and was shouting at her.
“His position is his son wanted to go with him that day and she was being obstructive.”
Sheriff Susan Duff fined Brown £245 and imposed a one-year non-harassment order.
