A 53-year-old man threatened his partner during a disturbance in Ballingry.
Terence Seymour, now of The Stables, Cook Square, Lochgelly, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on October 31 at his then home in Craigie Gardens, Ballingry, he adopted an aggressive demeanour, shouted, swore and made a threat of violence towards his partner, causing her fear and alarm.
Sheriff Robert More called for Seymour to be assessed for the Caledonian Programme for domestic offenders and sentence was deferred until September 7.
