After a fantastic post-pandemic return to a live Fife Business Award Ceremony in May, where businesses of all shapes and sizes picked up winner trophies, the 2023 Fife Business Awards in association with Blackadders and Henderson Loggie, has recently launched, with the organisers urging all Fife’s businesses to seize the opportunity to inspire and engage their staff and get well-deserved publicity and recognition for their achievements.

The Fife Business Awards have always reflected the practices that drive business success and 2023 will be no different. 13 awards are up for grabs this year. There is the newly added Sole Trader and Family Business Award categories and the Community Award will incorporate school partnerships, which was previously a stand-alone category.

The Small and Medium Business category has been split into two separate awards to ensure businesses are only competing against others of a similar scale. The Transformation Award replaces Creativity and Innovation and Digital Transformation and is open to any organisation that can demonstrate that a change project that has been implemented in Fife within the last two years, has had a significant and measurable positive impact. Marketing, Young Business, Health and Wellbeing and Sustainability are all carried over from the last awards.

The awards are still free to enter, and to make it as easy as possible to get involved, the application process has been simplified. There will be plenty of virtual In the Know Workshops to give those thinking about entering the opportunity to gain valuable advice and ask any questions about the process. In addition, the quick and easy process of nominating a business will continue. Anyone can nominate a business that they believe should have the chance to be recognised, but that may not have applied themselves. All businesses that receive nominations are contacted and encouraged to enter the awards themselves.

We are absolutely blown away by the response we have had from the sponsors who are being showcased in this feature. Their desire to be part of something so positive and upbeat is something we believe will be matched by the rest of Fife’s businesses, social enterprises and charities. We are so grateful to our sponsors for backing us again and making it possible for us to celebrate the rich seam of business talent we have in Fife, bigger and better than we have ever done before.
