A WOMAN was injured in an attack by her partner on Christmas Day in Dunfermline.

The assailant, Robbie Whyte, later posted a nude photo of his ‘ex’ on social media.

She only found out when she started receiving messages from her friends about what he had done.

Whyte, 21, of Navitie Park, Ballingry, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court for sentencing having admitted three offences previously.

On December 25, at an address in Dunfermline, he assaulted his then partner by kicking her to the body to her injury.

On February 19, he sent text messages to the same person using offensive, derogatory language and threatened her.

Then, on February 22, he disclosed via social media a photograph of his former partner in an intimate situation.

Depute fiscal Amy Robertson said that during a row on Christmas Day, Whyte had kicked his then partner, causing her to scream in pain.

He later sent her abusive messages including: “Slut. I’m going to make your life a misery.”

The nude photo he later posted was one she had sent to Whyte when they were a couple.

Defence solicitor Alan Davie said his client was under the influence of drink and drugs when the posted the image. “It’s something he regrets,” he added.

Sheriff Susan Duff imposed a community payback order with 180 hours of unpaid work, two years of supervision and participation in the Caledonia Programme for domestic offenders.
