A LOCHGELLY High School pupil gained valuable experience while working alongside a local politician.
Cowdenbeath MSP Annabelle Ewing welcomed Ellie Clough to her staff team on a placement as part of the school's Employability Project.
Ellie got a taste of what goes on within the Scottish Parliament and the MSP's constituency office during her experience.
Ms Ewing said: "I am very pleased to be able to assist Lochgelly High School with their Employability Project as an employer and to have Ellie Clough join me on a work placement as part of the scheme.
“Projects like this are a great way of preparing school pupils for the world of work and helping them to think about a possible future career.
“There are a wide range of roles working with MSPs and in the Scottish Parliament.
"During this placement, Ellie got a taste of what some of those jobs involve and got to see the Scottish Parliament and a constituency office in action.
“This wouldn’t have been possible during the various stages of pandemic response with the constituency office closed and access to the parliamentary complex restricted.
"So, it was not only a delight to welcome Ellie to my team for the course of her placement but also to be getting back to be doing some of those things that have not been possible for such a long time.”
