KELTY's public library has been blighted by football graffiti.

A resident was appalled to see the spray-painted 'WATP' scribbling - an acronym standing for 'We Are The People', a term used by Rangers supporters - on one of the community centre's walls.

Fife Council have hit out at the act, and have encouraged locals to report all kinds of anti-social behaviour to the local authority.

Safer Communities Manager Dawn Jamieson said: "Vandalism of any kind is unacceptable and a blight on our communities.

"We will continue to regularly patrol this area and work closely with the police to combat this anti-social behaviour. We would also encourage members of the public to report any incidents to them or online at www.fife.gov.uk."
