A "MINI PARTY" will mark the opening of a new Dunfermline takeaway this Sunday.

Savage Kitchen, which has taken over an ex-betting shop on Hospital Hill, is set to bring a healthier option to the area.

Founder Eros Enrici told the Press: "We will have a DJ and will be fully open, we are also hoping to have mini challenges and make it a bit of fun.

"We are really looking forward to it, it has been a long time coming.

"We always planned on doing it sooner or later – we knew it would be this year."

After starting up in Glenrothes originally in 2018 as a "funky little takeaway", husband-and-wife duo Eros and Kirsten Enrici have also run their "central hub" in Kirkcaldy since 2019.

They say they came up with the idea for the venture after being "bored" by nearby takeaways, and wanting something healthier.

"This one will be more similar to Glenrothes," Eros explained. "All of our food is cooked in Kirkcaldy and then transported in refrigerated vans to each shop."

Now, after joining forces with friends and business partners Scott MacDonald and Joanne Hodge, they have been able to fulfill the wishes of their West Fife customers and expand into the city.

"We have had a lot of good feedback," Eros added.

"We knew we would because we just kept getting asked by customers, at least once every day, when we were opening closer to Dunfermline.

"It has been one hell of a journey so far but they are just getting started and can’t wait to see where Savage can go."

They will be open from 10am until 2pm at 62 Hospital Hill with free tasters of some of their best-sellers.
