SMOKE billowed from a fire at industrial premises near Ballingry last night.
Firefighters raced to the scene near to the former Westfield Gas plant shortly after 7pm and found tyres and rubber on fire at the premises.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 7.15pm on Tuesday, 14 June to reports of a fire affecting a large pile of tyres and rubber at industrial premises near Ballingry, Fife.
"Operations Control mobilised two appliances to extinguish the fire and crews are continuing to reinspect the scene.
"There were no reported casualties."
