A CARDENDEN man who subjected his former partner to threats, ‘heavy-breathing’ phone calls and made false allegations to her employer has been released from custody.
Andrew Reilly, 38, of Kirkburn Drive, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court by video-link from prison.
He admitted that between March 28 and April 14, at various locations in Lochgelly, Lochore and Kirkcaldy, he engaged in an abusive course of behaviour towards his former partner.
He repeatedly and excessively contacted her by phone, text and social media messages, remained silent on calls except for heavy breathing, repeatedly shouted, swore and threatened her by phone and sent an email making a false allegation about her to her employers.
Defence solicitor Alexander Flett told the court previously that the couple had reunited in January but had separated again by March.
“It became clear to him that she had not ended the previous relationship and he was significantly upset,” he added.
The court heard Reilly has previous convictions for domestic offences.
Sheriff Francis Gill deferred sentence until July 13 for Reilly to be assessed for the Caledonian Programme for domestic offenders and bail was granted.
