LOCHGELLY Gala will make its long-awaited return this year.
The past two family fun days were forced to be cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but a date has been set for this summer's comeback event.
The gala committee has announced that Sunday, August 14, is the date in the calendar for locals to make a note of this year.
A committee spokesperson told the Times that they were working to bring everyone a "gala extravaganza".
"A parade, fancy dress, inflatable fun, best float, show rides, face painting, kids races, tug 'o' war, petting zoo, local group performances and much more will be held", they said.
"We are also looking for helpers to assist on the run up and on the day of the gala, even if you can spare one hour, no job is too difficult and the committee would really appreciate your help.
"Please get in touch on the Lochgelly Gala page on Facebook or contact any member of the committee.
"We are extremely busy organising and fundraising to make 2022 a cracking gala - see you on Sunday, August 14."
