A DUNFERMLINE woman was “terrified” by the behaviour of her former partner, who appeared outside her home despite being banned from contacting her by a court order.

As a result, Scott Dalgleish, 30, of Cobden Court, Crossgates, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted that being subject to a non-harassment order, he breached it on March 8 at Gilfillan Road, Dunfermline, when he contacted his former partner.

He also admitted that on March 9, at Dunfermline police station, he resisted police officers and kicked out with his legs and struggled violently.

Depute fiscal Zahra Bhatti said that, at 9.25pm, Dalgleish sent messages by Facebook saying he was outside her home.

He then started banging on the door. She wanted him to leave and contacted his mother.

The depute continued: “She had been terrified as he was putting his hands through the letter-box.”

Police were contacted by his mother and officers attended. He struggled and lashed out at officers after being arrested.

Sheriff David Hall told Dalgleish: “You had no business being anywhere near her house.”

The sheriff imposed a community payback order with 100 hours of unpaid work, three years of supervision and Dalgleish will take part in the Caledonian Progamme for domestic offenders.
