After nearly half a century, the last founding member of Kelty Community Council has sadly announced her resignation.
Last Thursday marked the final day for Peggy Crawford who is moving home and will no longer be eligible to sit on the council.
Fred Clarke, chair of the community council, said: "Peggy has been a consistent and active member since the community council was formed.
"She regularly served as convener on several of the sub committees of the council and was always one of the first to volunteer for the less glamorous tasks.
"Her resignation was marked with a small presentation at the April meeting.
"Peggy said how much she had enjoyed her time working for the community during which time she had formed several life-long friendships.
"She would always remember the spirit of community in the village and wished the current members well in the future."
