AN ONLINE stalker who bombarded women with sex messages and indecent images has been jailed for two years.
Christopher Cowan, 31, from Crossgates, was also made subject to non-harassment orders for an indefinite period and put on the sex offenders’ register for 10 years.
He targeted six females in a catalogue of offending that lasted more than three years.
Cowan, of Lady Anne Court, was found guilty by a jury after a trial at Dunfermline Sheriff Court and returned there yesterday (Thursday) to be sentenced for a long list of offences.
He sent the victims sex messages via WhatsApp and Snapchat.
He sent them numerous images of an erect penis.
He created fake online profiles and sent messages to one woman suggesting he was monitoring her movements.
He turned up at the workplace of another victim. The women he targeted lived in various locations including Dunfermline, Cairneyhill and Stirling.
The offences started on May 1, 2017, and continued up to July 2020.
Cowan also breached court orders banning him from contacting two of the women.
